Bhavishya Badri
![]() It is believed that a time will come when it will become impractically to reach the temple of Badrinath and the Lord will be worshiped here, hence the name "Bhavishya Badri" that literally means the Badri of the future. Bhavishya Badri is immensely popular among the devotees. The temple enshrines the lion-headed image of Narsingh. People from all the corners of the globe come to this sacred place to worship the Lord. Narsingh is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu who saved Prahlad, a great devotee of the Lord. People believe that if they pray to the Lord here,He will bless them with eternal happiness and peace. How to reach By Air ? Nearest airport is Jolly Grant 297 kms from Rishikesh. How to reach By Train ? The nearest railhead, Rishikesh, is 280 kms. How to reach By Road ? Bhavishya Badri is connected by a motorable road up to Saldhar, which is 274 km from Rishikesh and 19 km from Joshimath. From Saldhar, pilgrims have to trek 6 km up to the shrine. |
